• Al completarse el IV centenario de la muerte de Francisco Suarez (1548-1617), la UNISINOS (São Leopoldo, RS, Brasil) organiza en aparcería con la COMIUCAP un Coloquio Internacional para conmemorar el pasaje de los primeros 400 años después de la muerte en Lisboa (25 de setiembre de 1617) del grande pensador de la Compañía de Jesus y así promover la investigación académica sobre su pensamiento y respectivo influjo en la configuración del pensamiento occidental particularmente en áreas como el Derecho, las Relaciones Internacionales, la Metafísica y la Teología y así también las diversas áreas de influjo de su Filosofia Práctica. • From the Report on the Meeting of the Administrative Board of COMIUCAP for 2016 in San Francisco, California: «Professor Salomón Lerner presented a detailed account of the activities organized by COMIUCAP-Latin America in the last two years. Emphasis was given to the following realizations: 1. International Seminar on “Identity, Mission and Organization of the Catholic University today”, an event that took place in Lima, at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, between 16-17 of november 2015 and in order to commemorate the 50 anniversary of the Document from Vatican II “Gravissimum Educationis” as well as the 25th of the “Ex corde Ecclesiae”; 2. Third Regional Congress for Latin America of COMIUCAP on “Postsecularization and the Encounter of Cultures”, an event that took place in the ancient city of Cuzco from 19-20 of November, 2015; 3. Creation of a directory of Catholic Universities with Programs in Philosophy throughout the continent of Latin America; 4. Creation of a web-page dedicated to the activities of the Comiucap-Region of Latin America (www.comiucap-al.net); 5. Completion of all the editorial work pertaining to the upcoming publication of the book Postsecularización: Nuevos escenarios del encuentro entre culturas; 6. Active participation in the organization of the V World Congress of COMIUCAP, which shall take place In Bogotá, Colombia, from 4-9 of July, 2017. The Vice-President for Latin America also informed about the ongoing organization of an academic event in the name of COMIUCAP on the occasion of the International Congress “El conflicto de las Facultades: Sobre la Filosofia y la Crisis de las Humanidades”, an event that shall take place in Lima from 5-8 of september, 2017 on occasion of the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (1917-2017). Furthermore, the board was also informed that from 25-27 of September, 2017, the UNISINOS (São Leopoldo, Brasil) in collaboration with COMIUCAP will realize an International Congress entirely dedicated to the Work of Francisco Suarez on occasion of the celebration of the 400th anniversary of his death. Finally, the Vice-President for LA expressed the felt need for Programs capable of fostering the interchange of graduate Students among the Catholic Universities present in the continent.»

• El día 17 de Julio de 2015, el Centro de Estudios Filosóficos, el Departamento de Teología y el Instituto de Democracia y Derechos Humanos de la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú organizaron en Lima un Homenaje al Doctor Salomón Lerner Febres con motivo de la celebración de sus 70 años. En esta oportunidad, el Presidente de COMIUCAP felicita el Centro de Estudios Filosóficos de La Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, miembro de nuestra Rede Internacional, a las Autoridades Académicas y a toda la Comunidad Académica por esta iniciativa de rendir Homenaje al Doctor Salomón Lerner. El Doctor Salomón Lerner es un distinguido académico, un hombre de enorme sabiduría y formidable acción, un ser humano dedicado a todos los valores que en nuestra vida merecen la pena – Verdad, Justicia, Belleza y Bondad −, un grande ejemplo de ciudadanía en toda América Latina, un peruano de excelencia que rindió a la Universidad Católica y a todo su País servicios de inestimable valor, particularmente en ámbitos como los de la Reconciliación y la Paz en momentos particularmente difíciles para la nación peruana. Nos sentimos felices por poder ver en lo espacio público este importante señal del enorme cariño que el Doctor Salomón Lerner merece de la parte de sus Colegas y Compañeros de Misión en la Universidad, un afecto que sin duda refleja la gratitud y admiración de muchísimas otras personas que, fuera o dentro del Perú, reconocemos en el Doctor Salomón Lerner un magnífico ejemplo de dedicación a las causas de la Filosofía y de su contribución para un mundo mejor. • La Universidad Santo Tomas de Bogotá, em ocasión de los 50 años de la reapertura de su Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, organiza el XVI Congreso Internacional de Filosofía Latinoamericana entre los días 30 de Junio y 3 de Julio del 2015. El tema general del Congreso es Lecturas Actuales de la Filosofía Latinoamericana: Género, Cultura y poscolonialidad.

• In Lima, at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, an International Seminar on Identity, Mission and Organization of the Catholic University will take place from November 16-17, 2015.

• The Third Regional Congress of Comiucap for Latin America will be on Secularity and Post-Secularity from a Latin-American perspective. The Congress is organized by the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and will take place in the city of Cusco from 19-20 of November, 2015. The event is part of the ongoing Research Program of the network and is intended as preparation for the Fifth World Congress of Comiucap to be held in Bogotá (Colombia) from 4-9 of July, 2017. The Congress of Cusco aspires at having a true Latin-American dimension but is also open to the participation of Scholars from other continents as well. The Local Organization of this Congress belongs to the «Centro de Estudos Filosóficos» of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. For further information, please, contact us.
